This Gothic-style house was built around 1500.

Standing on a ground floor made of ashlar, you can see the bases or corbels of the floor above, also made of stone, in a Gothic style. As stone was used instead of timber, the house managed to survive without succumbing to the ravages of fire in the Middle Ages.

Because of its originality, this building has been copied in Barcelona.

In1878, this house was the birthplace of the writer Koldo Eleizalde (Luis Eleizalde), a champion of Basque language teaching and one of the founders of Euskaltzaindia-Academy of the Basque Language.
